With a Ph.D. in construction management, Maryam is currently the CEO and Principal Consultant with Adroit. She has served as a project management consultant since 2004. Her areas of specialty include construction project management, project scheduling and control, construction forensic claims, litigation support, project risk management, and value engineering and analysis. Maryam is the author of three AACE International recommended practices (RPs) that are used by practitioners around the globe as a guideline with valuable reference information. She has been examined and certified by Project Management Institute (PMI) as a Project Management Professional (PMP), by the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE International) as a Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP), and by SAVE International as a Value Methodology Associate (VMA). Maryam was a recipient of the 2018 AACE International Technical Excellence Award.

With a Ph.D. in construction management, Amin is Adroit’s Principal Consultant. He is a recognized expert with extensive experience since 2003. His practice is focused on construction project management, construction forensic claims, and value engineering. He is the author of three AACE International recommended practices (RPs) that are used by practitioners around the globe as a guideline with valuable reference information. He has been examined and certified by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (TBPELS) as a Professional Engineer (P.E.), by Project Management Institute (PMI) as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Risk Management Professional (RMP), by the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE International) as a Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) and a Decision and Risk Management Professional (DRMP), and by SAVE International as a Value Methodology Associate (VMA).
Allen Hamilton
Senior Consultant
Allen is the Principal of Project Management Associates LLC and has over 30 years of experience in the project management and cost management of construction projects. He retired from ExxonMobil Research and Engineering Co. and is a widely regarded subject matter expert on cost management including estimating, cost control and cost analysis. He is past national president of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE Intl.) and past chair of the International Cost Engineering Council. He is cited in Who’s Who in Science and Engineering. He has a wide variety of papers and publications on cost management.
Les Thomas
VE/VA Team Coordinator
Les has more than 30 years of experience in performing Value Analysis/Value Engineering studies worldwide. He is a forward-thinking and creative solution crafter who has a proven track record of solving unique and complex engineering and construction challenges. He has in-depth knowledge of and successful experience in a wide range of construction projects including waste and water treatment projects, buildings, and correctional facilities. He has been examined and certified by SAVE International as a Certified Value Specialist (CVS). Les has served as the Executive Director of the SAVE International Certification Board and Board Member.

They have not only been successful in implementing projects but also they have proven their expertise in publishing industry studies and guidelines. The recognition for our expertise and respect in our field of practice culminated in 2018 when AACE International, one of the globally-recognized professional associations in fields of project management, cost engineering, and construction claims, elected two of Adroit’s principal consultants, Dr. Maryam Mirhadi, PMP and Dr. Amin Terouhid, PE, PMP as the recipients of the AACE 2018 Technical Excellence award (find out more here).
